Consejos by Abuela

El café no se pelea. Se entiende.

Before scales, before tasting notes, before coffee became complicated, there was someone who always made it right. No rush. No drama. No explanation.

Abuela didn’t talk about bright acidity or long finishes.
She talked about water, heat, and patience.

This space exists to remind you of that.

We don’t teach people how to be baristas here.
We teach them how to make coffee that works.

The Problem

People don’t leave specialty coffee because they think the coffee taste bad.
They leave because no one ever taught them how to make it properly.

They buy a beautiful bag.
Read flavors that never show up in the cup.
Get frustrated.
And go back to the coffee they know.

It’s not the bean’s fault......

What Abuela Teaches

Abuela didn’t train baristas.
She raised coffee makers (cafeteros)

People who know how to make a solid cup of black coffee, every day, with whatever they have.

ABUELA

Tell Abuela what’s wrong with your cup. She’ll help you fix it. Then, if you want, she’ll recommend coffee.
